Cold Storage Types According to Purpose of Use

Cold storage areas are storage areas where climatic values such as temperature and humidity are precisely controlled. The climate values required by the product to be stored are among the most important factors that determine both the warehouse type and system costs.

Frigocare Refrigeration offers cold storage in the following main categories according to the purpose of use

  • Cool Storage: +5 to +15 °C    
  • Cold Storage: -5 to +5 °C    
  • Frozen Storage: -30 to -15 °C    
  • Questzing: -60 to -30 °C Fast freezing between °C    
  • Dual Regime Storage: Between -18 and +5 °C, both cold anddull operation    
  • Heated-Cooled Enclosure: 0 to +20 °C, heating when necessary, cooling when necessary

Cold Storage Systems According to Fluids Used

The main refrigerants commonly used in refrigeration systems are

  • Freon    
  • Ammonia    
  • Carbon dioxide (CO₂)    
  • Glycol    
  • Propane

Frigocare Refrigeration can offer single-stage or two-stage (cascade) solutions by using one or more of these fluids together, depending on the facility's capacity, product features and usage expectations.

Natural Fluids: CO₂, Ammonia, Glycol, Propane

Since these fluids are already found in nature, they are called "natural coolants". Thanks to its low operating costs, it is especially preferred in large-scale facilities. Due to their environmentally friendly structures, their usage areas are gradually expanding.

Freon Systems

Freon is a specially produced refrigerant. It is widely used in smaller tonnage warehouses due to its relatively low initial investment cost. Its usage area is wide as it can be applied in almost every sector.
